Cescily, a native of the Iowa City area, looks forward to working with Brock Family Music to serve the community she is deeply passionate about.
She obtained a degree in music therapy from The University of Iowa and became a board-certified music therapist after completing a six-month internship at Oaknoll Retirement Community, working with older adults, and passing the music therapy board certification exam.
Her journey in music began in fourth grade when she started playing the double bass. In high school, she started exploring what a career in music therapy would look like and found it to be a perfect fit, combining her love for music and her desire to help others. Cescily is dedicated to enhancing clients’ overall quality of life through the therapeutic power of music.
In addition to her role with Brock Family Music, Cescily works as a music therapist for an adolescent mental health non-profit in Cedar Rapids, at local elementary school in Iowa City, and at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. However, she is excited to expand the reach of music therapy in the Iowa City and surrounding areas with Brock Family Music.
